THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS

I know that most of you come here for scriptural messages, so I won’t post a lot, but I thought that after last night I should at least thank you for your prayers, and let you know how Elise is doing.

I felt a bit calmer by the time I went to bed last night. We did not have to go to the ER in the middle of the night, which was one answer to prayer. Elise’s fever went down during the night, and by the time we got to the cancer clinic today, it was gone.

I’m writing from the clinic, where Elise is getting more fluids. We met with the doctor about 30 minutes ago, and she felt that for now, things are stable. She said that with Elise’s immune system temporarily knocked down, it has a hard time suppressing bacteria that are just normally and naturally in the body. We’re hoping that by next week her immune system has recovered more. In the meantime, she has another prescription for antibiotics. We’ll finish out the IV fluids, and then go home this afternoon.

Thank you again, so much, for your prayers, texts, comments and so on. It really helps to be able to reach out when we’re struggling.
